Millstone, NJ-Joseph S. Legendziewicz, 76, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville surrounded by his loving family. Born in Poland, son of the late Franciszek and Stefania Legendziewicz, he was a resident of the Borough of Millstone for over 50 years.
Joseph was honorably discharged from the United States Army having faithfully served his country as a private first class. He retired as an electrical engineer after 45 years of dedicated employment with RCA, General Electric and Harris, all of Bridgewater. Joseph was a faithful and dedicated communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville and took an active role with many of the church activities. Joseph was a life member and faithfully served for many years with the East Millstone Fire Company. He was also a proud member of the Polish Falcons of America Nest #946 in Hillsborough.
Joseph's beloved wife Kazimiera "Kazia" (Kopcio) Legendziewicz entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 and he was also predeceased by his loving son John Legendziewicz.
Joseph leaves behind his cherished and devoted son and daughter-in-law George and Catherine Legendziewicz of Flemington, a dear brother Henry Legendziewicz and his wife Heather of Saratoga, NY. He will be deeply missed by his two adored nieces Casey Rosenzweig and Amy Legendziewicz.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation for Joseph and his beloved wife Kazia at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Thursday, January 27 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and on Friday, January 28 from 8-8:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28 beginning 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Together Joseph and Kazia will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
