Bound Brook, NJ-Joseph F. Meszaros, Jr., 70, of Bound Brook, formerly of Manville and Montgomery Twp. died peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2011 with his loving family at his side. Born in Somerville on January 29, 1941 he was the son of the late Joseph F. Meszaros, Sr. and Frances "Frenchy" Krol Meszaros.
He was a self-employed contractor until his retirement. Joe was a graduate of Manville High School, and a veteran of the US Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was a past member of the Manville Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Sandra O'Keefe and her partner, Johanna Wiseman of Bridgewater, his beloved son Carl Lessing and his wife, Danielle of Illinois, and his dear son, Joseph F. Meszaros, III of Bound Brook. He also is survived by four adored grandchildren of whom he was very proud, John E. O'Keefe, Jr. and Justin Wiseman of Bridgewater, and Rylan and Makenzie Lessing of Illinois. Joe's family also includes many cousins who shared a close relationship with him throughout his life. His goddaughter, Danielle Meszaros of Hillsborough was of great comfort to him in his final days.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, August 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Manville, NJ 08835. As per his wishes, Joe will be cremated and his ashes buried at New Cemetery in Somerville with his parents. Burial will take place Thursday, Sept. 1 at 9:00 a.m.
