Joseph Andrew Owsik, aged 69, entered eternal life on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. Joseph was born in Somerville, New Jersey, and was the son of the late John F. and Isabelle (née Lorek) Owsik. He spent his childhood and about 40 years residing in Manville, New Jersey, and had lived in Hillsborough, New Jersey, and Griggstown, New Jersey, before relocating to Warren, New Jersey, two years ago. 

In his youth, Joseph was a competitor in the Special Olympics. He had a strong passion for bowling and enjoyed listening to music. 

Besides his parents, Joseph is predeceased by his sister, Sophie Parker and his brother, John Henry Owsik. 

Joseph is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving siblings, Frances Torlish of Laurel, Delaware and Frank A. Owsik and his wife Cynthia of Manville; dear sister-in-law, Luba Owsik; along with many cherished nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 12:00 p.m. This will take place at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, located at 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
