Somerville, NJ – Joseph E. Shaw, 54, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 10, 2019. Born in Newark, NJ, son of Emelina Torres and the late Edward Shaw, he spent most of his life in Springfield, NJ and then resided in Green Brook, NJ before settling in Somerville in 2017.

Joseph was a devout Catholic and lived faithfully by their teachings. He was a graduate of Union High School in Union, NJ. Joseph was owner of JS & ES Holdings LLC of Green Brook. Joseph had many passions in life most notably he enjoyed shooting billiards while also being a member of various leagues in the area. He loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt; he also enjoyed watching football, riding motorcycles, shooting archery, and hiking.

Besides his loving mother Emelina Torres, Joseph is survived by his dear brother, Edward Shaw, Jr.; three cherished aunts and an uncle, Gloria Torres, Irma Torres, America Torres, and Raymond Torres; and cousins, Jackie Colón, Angelina Vazquez, Nanette Torres, Jessica Vazquez, Maritza Reyes, Bonnie Burgos, Jeannie Colón (his God sister), and many other cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, October 13 from 2-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. officiated by Fr. Peter Suhaka. At the family's request, the disposition will be private.
