Manville, NJ- Josephine "Aunt Joan" Hughes, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at RWJ-Somerset Hospital surrounded by loving family. Joan was born and raised in Manville to her late parents, John and Agnes (Tichy) Stepka.

Joan was a devout Roman Catholic and a lifelong communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Church) in Manville. She loved being with her family and friends and took great pride in caring for her home, husband and family.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband Wilbur "Bill" Hughes on May 2, 2010 and by her dear siblings.

Joan leaves behind and will be deeply missed by many devoted nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews, and dear cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, April 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 8 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Christ the King Church, 211 Louis Street, Manville, NJ 08835. Joan will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
