Manville, NJ-- Mrs. Julia Kolenda, age 91, died at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, New Jersey on Monday, April 22, 2013. Julia was born July 10, 1921 in Manville to Michael and Helen Schurick.

She is predeceased by her husband John, sisters Mary and Margaret, brothers Charles, Edward and Michael.

Julia is survived by her son Kenneth, her sister Ann DiPaolo of Raritan, and sister- in- laws Elizabeth Schurick of Hillsborough, Edwina Schurick of Somerset, Evelyn Schurick of Orange Park, Florida and Stella Kolenda of Manville, along with a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

She retired from Johns Manville and was a member of the Johns Manville Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Julia always had a smile and a quick wit, her laughter will long be remembered by those who knew her best.

A viewing will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main Street, Manville, NJ 08853, during the hours of 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
