Manville, NJ – Julia A. (nee Baran) Urbaniak, 101, entered into eternal rest, peacefully on January 21, 2022.  Julia was born to Peter and Mary Latocha Baran (nee Rusin) in Manville on January 20, 1921.  She was a lifelong resident of Manville where she raised a family with the love of her life and husband of 61 years, John F. Urbaniak, Sr. whom she married in 1947.

Julia was a devout parishioner and member of the Altar Rosary Society of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.  She was a sweet, kind and loving mother whose greatest joy in life was her family.  After working 20 years at Lockheed Electronics she retired in 1983 and enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband.  Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, dancing, listening to music, and baking polish cookies.  She was known for her brilliant, whole-hearted smile and the sunny, easygoing personality that made her deeply loved by her family.  But, most of all she adored spending time with her cherished children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Julia was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, John F. Urbaniak, Sr.  in 2008 and her cherished son, Thomas in March 2021, along with sisters Helen Nagy, Steffie Zabawa, Jean Kakaletz, Stephanie Alfano, and brothers; John and Stanley Latocha.

Julia leaves behind her devoted children; son John F. Urbaniak, Jr. and his wife Francesca of NJ, daughter MaryAnn Orlando and her husband Gene of TX, and daughter Carol Orlando and her husband Ron of NJ.  She will be deeply missed by her six loving grandchildren; Stacy, Julie, Marc, Jennifer, John Michael and James, and nine cherished great-grandchildren; Adriene, Nikky, Caydence, Jolene, Kylie, Gianna, Lucas, Orla and Mia and numerous nieces and nephews each of who will miss her dearly.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers, Zhanna, Ellen and Lora who cared for Mom during the past two years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, January 24 from 2-6 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 25 from 8-8:30 a.m.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 25 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.  Julia, together with the cremains of her son, Thomas, who unexpectedly passed away after surgery, will be laid to rest beside her husband John at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
