Manville, NJ - June Veronica Stephens, 85, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at home. Born and raised in Plainfield, NJ, daughter of the late William and Viola (nee Templin) McDonough, she resided in North Plainfield, NJ, Middlesex, NJ, Bound Brook, NJ, South Bound Brook, NJ, and Somerville, NJ before settling to Manville in 2012.

June enjoyed spending time with family, especially during the holidays. She liked to go bowling in her younger years. June was a lifelong member of Moose Lodge 988 in Bound Brook and she volunteered there as a bartender. She enjoyed the friendships and comradery formed through her time at the Moose Lodge.

Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Gano; sisters, Dolores Scafidi, Viola Areminski, and Maryann Areminski; and son-in-law, Kenneth "Kippy" Hale.

June is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving children, Edward "Eddie" Gano of Peachland, NC and Veronica T. Hale of Lackawanna, NY; dear brother, William "Billy" McDonough; two cherished granddaughters, Heidi Hale and Abigail Gano; two cherished step grandsons, Shawn Sullivan and Jack Sullivan; two adored great grandchildren, Mason Murillo-Hale and Ryder Murillo-Hale; caring best friend, Linda Peppi; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
