North Bergen, NJ- The Patel Family is sad to announce the passing of their Beloved Kamlaben Patel, 99, of North Bergen, NJ who entered into the afterlife on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Kamlaben was born in Salun, India the daughter of the late Girdharbhai and Kashiben Patel. Beside her parents, Kamlaben is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ambalal Patel, who passed away on January 13, 1970.

Kamlaben lived for a time in Kampala, Uganda, London, England and then moved to the United States settling in New Jersey in 1986, where her beloved family affectionately began to know her as "Ba."

Ba was always a very strong and independent woman teaching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of life's values, including love, kindness and faith. She held on to her cultural values while being a part of the modern world. She was an amazingly generous woman who greeted everyone with a smile. Ba never complained about anything and was the matriarch of the family. Being a devoted Hindu woman was of the upmost importance to her.

Ba is survived by her loving and devoted children, Aroon and wife Kanta Patel, Surendra and wife Dixa Patel, Rajni and wife Smita Patel, Rasika and husband Kanti Patel, Chandraprabha and husband Narendra Patel and Anju and husband Girish Patel, along with her grandchildren, Aparna and husband Bill Linco, Alka Patel and husband Brian Kopec, Nikzoehla Patel, Sonya and husband Anuj Goel, Nisha Patel and husband Mukund Muralidharan, Monalee and husband Vimal Chheda, Neil and wife Jennifer Patel, Kosha Patel, Shaun and wife Manisha Patel, Jay and wife Meera Patel, and Reesha and husband Sandeep Mehta and thirteen great-grandchildren, Avinash Patel-Kopec, Shaun and Dev Patel Linco, Rajan Patel-Kopec, Meera Patel-Kopec, Reid Patel, Henry Patel, Keshav Candadai, Kate Patel, Naaya Chhedha, Samuel Patel, Devan and Nikhta Chhedha.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ba's name to Govinda Temple of 783 Newark Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey.
