Manville, NJ- Lillian (Sydlowski) Viscione, 88, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater, NJ. The daughter of Agnes (Stryczek) and Teofil Szydlowski, she was born in Manville and had been a lifelong resident.
After graduating from Bound Brook High School in 1944, Lillian trained at Orange Memorial Hospital in Orange, NJ as a member of the United States Cadet Nurses Corps. She was retired from Johns-Manville Corporation and was a member of the J-M Quarter Century Club. With her husband, Charles, she owned and operated C.M. Viscione Mason Contracting in Manville. She was a communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband Charles; and by her brothers, Stanley Szydlowski and Frank R. Sydlowski, Sr.; and sisters, Anna T. Savarese, Sophie B. Russo and Julia A. Soriano.
Visitation will be at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, November 24 from 2-5 p.m. with the funeral service at 4 p.m. with clergy from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church officiating. To honor her wishes, her children request the burial to be private.
