Greenbrier, TN- Maria (Speich) Haberland, 76, two days short of her 77th birthday, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Tri Star Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born in Linz-am-Rhein, Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Anna (Stuber) Speich, she moved to the US in May of 1963 and had lived in Manville for many years before moving to Greenbrier, TN.
Maria devoted her time to her family as a homemaker and also spent many years as a capsule inspector for Scherer Corp. formerly of Piscataway. While living in Manville she was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church and continued to support the church long after she left Manville.
Besides her parents, Maria is predeceased by her husband Frank Deiter Haberland who died April 12, 2011.
Maria leaves behind her loving son and daughter Frank D. Haberland of Greenbrier, TN and Catherine (Haberland) Seitzinger and her husband Charles of Nesco, NJ. She will be deeply missed by her two cherished granddaughters Malina Noelle Davis and Crystal Fay Davis both of Nesco, several brothers and sisters who live in Germany and by many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
On Friday, May 3, 2013, relatives and friends are invited to attend a 9:00 a.m. graveside service at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater with clergy from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church officiating.
