Somerset, NJ – Maria (Yllanes) Orro, 97, entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hillsborough. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, daughter of the late Jose Antonio Yllanes and Francisca Siso Ponte, she resided between Spain and the United States throughout her life.

Family was of utmost importance to Maria. As the matriarch of her family, she was a dedicated caretaker for her husband. She cherished memories made with her adored grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandson. She was a self-taught seamstress who took great pride in making outfits for family and friends. Maria was very proud of her citizenship with the United States and cherished the trips she took to Spain over the years. In her spare time, Maria enjoyed cooking, going to the movies and taking excursions.

Besides her parents, Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband, Marcelino Orro Vieiro; brothers, Ralph and Paco Yllanes; and great granddaughter, Kristen Daniel.

Maria leaves behind her loving children, Maria and her husband Robert Minton of Somerset and Marcelino Orro and his wife Josefina of Puerto Rico; six adored grandchildren, Lilly Daniel, Maritere, Rebeca, Marcos, Jorge, and Tony Orro; eleven cherished grandchildren, Kristen and Lisa Daniel, Raiza and Pablo Ascanio, Diego, Paula, Gabriela, Alejandra, Adriana, Niko, and Mikayla Orro.
