Princeton, NJ – Maria E. Szabelak, 91, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Princeton Care Center.  Maria was born in Europe emigrating to the United States in her twenties and became a US citizen in the mid 1950's.  She lived most of her life in New Jersey residing in Manville and Princeton.

In the mid 1980's Maria retired from employment after many years in the food and beverage services industry.  She then helped several families caring for their children.  She loved celebrating with family, gardening and antiques.

Besides her parents, Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Jan Szabelak on January 2, 1980.

Maria is survived by her loving sons, Stan and his wife Paula and Edward; five grandchildren, Shauna, Ryan, Adam, Vincent (VJ), and Austin; and six cherished great grandchildren.  She is dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, May 15 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 16 from 9-9:30 a.m.

Funeral services, including Catholic Scriptures and prayers, will be held on Wednesday, May 16 beginning 9:30 a.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home.  Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
