East Brunswick, NJ – Marian (Fadako) Wilkas, 94, entered eternal life on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born and raised in Hectorsville, PA, daughter of the late Michael and Tessie (Nush) Fadako, she resided in Jersey City, Manville, and Middlesex before her residency at Sunrise Assisted Living in East Brunswick.
Marian was employed for over ten years at C.H. Martin in Jersey City as a retail sales person. She was a parishioner of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City. Cooking and gardening was a couple of Marian's favorite pastimes, while family was of the utmost importance to her.
Besides her parents, Marian was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph A. Wilkas on October 30, 1979; eight siblings and a grandson, Michael Joseph San Andres.
Marian leaves behind three loving children, Linda Anderson of Piscataway, NJ, Janet M. Spedaliere of Hackensack, NJ, and Karen and her husband Richard San Andres of Freehold, NJ. She will be deeply missed by five cherished grandchildren and seven adored great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, May 4 from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday, May 5 from 8:00-8:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
