Somerset- Marie (Koye) DeFeo, of Somerset, NJ, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side.  Born in Manville, NJ, to her parents, William and Elizabeth (Preininger) Koye, Marie resided in Manville before she settled in Somerset in 1950.

Marie graduated from Bound Brook High School Class of 1949.  She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi chapter, Manville.  She married her high school sweetheart, Mauro and together they raised their five children.  Marie was a devoted Mother and homemaker and loved being with her family.  She was part of the St. Matthias prayer group and worked for the Franklin Township Board of Education from 1982 until her retirement in 1992.

Beside her parents, Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband Mauro DeFeo, daughter Kathleen DeFeo, and sisters, Elizabeth Koye Catalano, and Margaret Koye Liccardi.

She will be deeply missed by her children, daughters: Lisa DeFeo of Somerset, Maura Lella and her husband Joseph of Washington, NJ, and sons; Michael DeFeo and wife Linda of Hillsborough, NJ, and David DeFeo and wife Diane of Hillsborough, NJ.  She is also survived by her brother, William Koye, Jr. of Jupiter, Florida.  She leaves behind her precious grandchildren; Christine and her husband Christian, Joseph and his wife Margaret, Marissa, Andrew, Ryan, Lindsey, Courtney, and great grandchild; Logan; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
