Manville, NJ – Marie Cecilia (Rishkofski) Petrone, 72, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Hunterdon Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 1, 1941 in Hazleton, PA, daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Celmer) Rishkofski, she was a lifetime resident of Manville. In 1962, she married Larry D. Petrone, their son Larry was born a year later and son Bob was born in 1965.

Marie earned her bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She was a registered nurse for fifty one years working at Somerset Medical Center and most recently in the Somerset County Jail. Later in life, Marie worked locally with Coldwell Banker RE and ERA American Dream. She was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville and a lifetime member of the Manville Youth Athletic League Ladies Auxiliary. Throughout the years, family always remained of utmost importance and Marie took great pride cherishing moments spent with family especially attending her grandchildren's events.

Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Larry Petrone in April of 1986.



Marie leaves behind her loving children, Larry Petrone and wife Lena of Branchburg, Bob Petrone and fiancée Christy Reo of Manville; dear brother, Joseph Rishkofski and wife Lynda of New Smyrna Beach, FL. She will be deeply missed by eleven cherished grandchildren, Maria Randazzo and her husband Enzo, Diana Mleczko and her husband Stanley, Elizabeth, Nicole, Lauren, Larry, Joseph, Suzanne, and Andrew Petrone, Tommy Marshall and Dennis Petrone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, November 29 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 30 from 7:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Hunterdon Medical Center and Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center for their loving care and support throughout Marie's illness.
