Manville, NJ—Marietta Ruth (nee Berstler) Cahill, 93, entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at home with loving family by her side.  Born in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (nee McCaffrey) Berstler, she spent her younger years in Flemington, NJ and resided in Bound Brook, NJ prior to settling in Manville in 1956.

Marietta was a dedicated quality controller at Ortho Pharmaceutical in Bridgewater, NJ for over twenty years.  She was also a loving and caring homemaker taking pride in raising her family.  She was always on the run whether it be spending time with her family or helping out her neighbors.  She was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville presently Christ the Redeemer Parish.

Besides her parents, Marietta was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Cahill on October 22, 2020; and nine siblings, Allen, Louise, Hope, Vera, George, Douglas, Evelyn, Dorothy, and Marjorie.

Marietta is survived by four loving children, Coleen and her husband, Charles Simoncelli of Bound Brook, NJ, Catherine and her husband Richard Varall of Yardley, PA, Deborah Cahill and her husband Jay Willis of Saunderstown, RI, and Barbara and her husband Sebastian Assenza of North Port, NY; dear sister, Marilyn "Bobby"; nine cherished grandchildren, Cara Irizarry, Katie Simoncelli, Erin Metellus, Richard Varall, Elizabeth Varall, Margaret Willis, Brian Cahill Assenza, Megan Cahill Assenza, and Liam Cahill Assenza; and eight adored great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, September 28 from 5-8 p.m.  The memorial funeral mass will take place at Christ the Redeemer Parish, 98 South 2 ^nd Avenue, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, September 30 at 9:00 a.m.  Committal words and burial of Marietta's cremains will follow at New Cemetery in Somerville, NJ.  Memorial contributions may be made in Marietta's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or the Salvation Army, 108 Hamilton Street, Bound Brook, NJ 08805.   To send condolences to the family or light a virtual candle, please visit www.FucilloandWarrenFuneralHome.com .
