Manville, NJ—Mary (nee Chernichowski) Hornberger, 92, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Rehab at River's Edge in Raritan, NJ.  Born in Somerville, Nj, daughter of the late Nicholas and Anastasia (nee Pontus) Chernichowski, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.

Mary was a graduate of Bound Brook High School in Bound Brook, NJ.  She was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for family.  Her care and love went beyond her family as she was known to her neighbors as their caregiver too; she enjoyed lending a hand to neighbors in need.  In her free time Mary enjoyed gardening.

Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, William B. Hornberger.

Mary is survived by and will be deeply missed by her loving children, Thomas J. Hornberger of Manville and Karen and her husband, Richard Albanese of Acton, ME; two cherished grandchildren, Julie Albanese and Richard Albanese; and an adored great granddaughter, Ariana.
