Obituary

Hillsborough, NJ- Mary Ellen (Miceli) Klein, 85, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at her home in Hillsborough with her loving family at her side. Born in West Monroe, NY, daughter of the late Gaspare and Ellen (Foley) Miceli, she grew up in Whitehouse, NJ and lived in Manville, NJ from 1947 until settling to Hillsborough in 1979.

Mary was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her family. She had worked as a nurse having obtained her LPN at Somerset County Vocational School and was secretary for S Klein Metals Company in Hillsborough. Mary was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville and was a member of the Manville Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Some of her favorite pastimes included: taking trips to Jamaica & Atlantic City, playing cards with her grandsons, completing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble, which among her family she was a champion player. The greatest joy in her life was being with her family especially her great granddaughters.

Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Sol Klein on July 14, 1999 and with whom she spent 57 ½ years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her brothers Peter & Joseph Miceli and her son-in-law Michael David Barter.

Mary will be deeply missed by her loving children: son Ronald Klein and his wife Margaret of South Bound Brook and daughter Carolyn Barter of Manville. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Eric Klein and his spouse Maya, Alan Klein and his significant other Michelle Tharp and Robert Klein; and her adored great granddaughters Mary A. Klein & Eden Herron and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, December 8th from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, December 9th from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be begin on Thursday, December 9th at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Mary will be laid to rest at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
