Formerly of Manville. Loving Mother, Sister, and Grandmother.

Putnam, CT- Mary Agatha (Balint) Whynott, 82, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam, CT. Born and raised in Manville, NJ, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kundra) Balint, she was stationed in San Diego, CA while serving her country and had settled to Mystic, CT in the early 1960's.

Mary was a graduate of Bound Brook High School Class of 1948 and began further education that year with the freshman class at Rutgers University before entering the armed forces. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1972 after raising her family. Mary was proud to be a Navy WAVE while serving in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. She retired from Northeast Utilities of Waterford, CT after twenty years of dedicated employment.

Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by three siblings; Stephen Balint, Andrew Balint Jr. and Helen Balint Galiszewski.

Mary leaves behind her children; Daniel, Marybeth, and Donna; her dear brother Edward Balint and his wife Sharon and three grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Saturday, December 8 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with clergy from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church officiating. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
