Manville, NJ—Melanie Jeanne (nee Esock) Anderson, 37, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at home with her loving husband by her side.  Born in Somerville, NJ, daughter of John George and Andrea Helyn (nee Fetko) Esock, III, she was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Melanie was a communicant of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ where she had been an assistant cantor and also a member of their choir.  Melanie was a stay at home mom who was very involved with her children's activities such as basketball, softball, baseball and being an active class mom. She loved to play the piano growing up, enjoyed singing, and was a cast member in theatrical performances at Immaculata High School where she was a 2002 graduate.  During her high school days Melanie was also involved with various clubs including Chorus, Drama and Campus Ministry, which involved building houses for the needy through Habitat for Humanity. Melanie began her college education at Rutgers University for a year and then transferred to the University of Delaware where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Dietetics.  She earned her license as a Registered Dietitian and then went on to the College of St. Elizabeth in Madison, NJ and earned her Master's Degree in Nutrition.  Melanie had several years of dedicated employment with Nestle (prior to that Gerber) in Florham Park, NJ as a Regulatory Specialist.  Recently, she took on a part-time teaching position at the Christian Nurturing Center in Hillsborough.
Melanie was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Jean and John Esock, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Helen Fetko; and sister, Therese Anne Esock.
Melanie is survived by her devoted and loving husband of eleven years, John M. Anderson, with whom she joined hands in marriage on October 16, 2010.  She will be deeply missed by her two cherished children who were the loves of her life, Gabriella and Johnny Anderson; two wonderful sisters, Natalie and her husband Rob Kucenski and Valerie and her husband Tim Kassick; dear father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Anderson and Carol; caring brother-in-law, Steven Anderson and his wife Megan; caring sister-in-law, Jessica Anderson; adored nieces and nephews, Brian Kucenski (Godchild), James Kucenski, Timothy Kassick, April Kassick (Godchild), Evan Anderson, and Nora Anderson (Godchild); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing and required to wear a mask at the family's request at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Thursday, February 10 from 3-7 p.m. with the Parastas service at 4:30 p.m. and on Friday, February 11 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. with the Panachida service 9:15 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough.  Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.  Memorial contributions may be made in Melanie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 .  To send condolences to the family or light a candle, please visit www.FucilloandWarrenFuneralHome.com .
