Obituary

Manville, NJ- Michael Holodinski, 87, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Green Knoll Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater, NJ with loving family by his side.  Born in Pringle, PA, son of the late Onifer and Katherine (Krawiec) Holodynski, he lived in Hillsborough, NJ before settling to Manville where he lived most of his life.

Michael proudly served his country with the United States Navy.  He was the owner and manager of several businesses, most notably the Raritan House in Raritan, NJ and Mike's Bar & Grill in Manville.  He was a dedicated employee at Eagan Machinery in Finderne, NJ where he was a machine operator and a proud Union Representative.  Michael also was employed at Johns Manville, Inc. in Manville.  He loved to tend to his gardens, go fishing, go hunting, and barbecue in his backyard for family and friends.  He especially loved the time spent with grandchildren and family.  He was a member of Holy Ghost Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Manville.

Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife, Evelyn (Kovacs) Holodinski on March 19, 2016; a sister, Julia Tafton; a brother, John Holodynsky; and a stepson, Clinton Hall.

Michael is survived by four loving children, Michael, John, Catherine, and Christine.  He also leaves behind a dear sister, Mary Matson; eleven cherished grandchildren; and many adored nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, March 19 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Parastas service; and on Monday, March 20 from 9-9:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20 beginning 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service at Holy Ghost Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Manville with Fr. Kenneth Ellis officiating.  Committal words and interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery in Hillsborough.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Holy Ghost Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church, 249 South 7 th Avenue, Manville, NJ 08835.  To send condolences to the family or sign an online guest book, please visit www.FucilloandWarrenFuneralHome.com .
