Manville, NJ- Michael Anthony Kovacs, Sr., 60, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital –Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Born in Somerville, NJ, the son of the late John and Margaret (Stas) Kovacs, he has resided in Manville all of his life.

Michael worked as manager for thirty two plus years at Alber's Fireplaces in Green Brook, NJ. He was an avid bass angler, often showing off his catch to his family and friends. He loved to cook and prepared delicious BBQ on his wood grill. He was dedicated in donating blood as often as possible at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Michael was a cheerful, compassionate and generous man who took great pride in his sons and cherished grandchildren. He was a member of St Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough, NJ.

Michael leaves behind two loving sons; Michael A. Kovacs, Jr., of Manville and Christopher Martine of Manville and two cherished grandchildren, Korinna and Christian Martine. He will be deeply missed by his dear siblings; Paul Kovacs and his wife Michele of Manville and sister, Margaret Klein and her husband Ron of South Bound Brook, NJ. He will be dearly missed by his niece, Kimberly and nephews, Eric, Alan, Robert and Christopher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, September 2 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Fr. Gregory Holster will celebrate the Panachida on Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2 beginning 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Michael will be laid to rest at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
