Obituary

Nellie (Vorbosky) Bubrow, a long-time resident of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2021 due to natural causes.  She was 96 years old.

Born in Somerville, NJ, in 1924 to Sigmunt and Helen Vorbosky, Nellie grew up in nearby Pluckemin and attended Somerville High School.  During World War II, for her part in the war effort she worked as an armature winder at Diehl Manufacturing in Finderne, NJ.  She later worked as a clerk for the family business, Adam's TV & Appliance Center in Middlesex.

Nellie loved to travel with her beloved husband of 60 years, Adam Bubrow, Sr., who passed away in 2014, and together they visited countries on four continents including Poland, Italy, Spain, England, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Portugal, Israel, and Canada.  She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, and listening and dancing to Polka music. She liked building jigsaw puzzles and was a fan of the New York Mets.

Nellie was a devoted and faithful wife and loving mother.  She is survived by her three children: Linda Pierson of Skillman, NJ, Adam Bubrow, Jr., of New York, NY, and Keith Bubrow of Mendham, NJ; and one granddaughter, Kristen Pierson.  She was predeceased by her sisters Stella Bernhardt, Anna Epright, Helen Gurnick, and Virginia Waslin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Saturday, May 29 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church in Hillsborough. Directly afterwards, Nellie will be laid to rest at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone.  In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
