Manville, NJ- Norman A. "Norm" Slaby, 60, entered eternal life on December 4, 2017 at his home in Manville. Born in Somerville, NJ son of the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Lazowski) Slaby, he grew up in Manville and then resided in Camp Pendleton, CA coming back to Manville in 1981.

Norm loved to cook and bake and was head baker at the Somerset Bakery in Manville which was a family owned business. He loved time spent with his grandchildren and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Norm was presently employed as a manager for the Public Works Department in Florham Park, NJ.

Besides his parents, Norm was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Slaby.

Norm is survived by two loving children, Robert Slaby and his wife Janice of Flemington, NJ and Nicole Slaby and her fiancé Roland Minard, III of Franklin Park, NJ; and a dear brother, Arnold Slaby. He will be deeply missed by three cherished grandchildren, Logan Slaby, Madden Slaby, and Zachary Minard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Thursday, December 7 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
