Patricia Kurdyla-Hnidj, 74, entered into eternal peace, surrounded by family in the early hours of Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Born in Plymouth, PA, daughter of the late Owen and Clara (Cackowski) Nugent, Patricia lived in Nanticoke and Levittown, PA, before establishing roots in Manville, NJ almost sixty-years ago.

Throughout her life, Patricia worked as an executive secretary for several pharmaceutical companies in the area. She was also the former co-owner of "The Letter Lady" located on Main Street in Manville. She enjoyed going to the casino but above all things, loved preparing Sunday dinners and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband, George Hnidj, who died in 2023, and by her sister, Mary Gregory, in 1979, Patricia leaves behind her loving family; son, Daniel Kurdyla and his wife Nicole of Manville; daughter, Melissa Kurdyla of Hillsborough; and brother, Daniel Nugent and his wife Shirley of Hillsborough. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, KK, Max, Owen, Livy, Ella, Rosie, and Hannah; as well as three nephews, Daniel, Shawn, and Brandon.

At the request of Patricia's family, all services have been privately entrusted to Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835. Private burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
