Bound Brook, NJ- Raymond H. "Ray" Creveling, 78, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Born in Montgomery, MD, son of the late George Clifford and Edna Susan (nee Peoplesdorph) Creveling, he grew up in Piscataway, NJ and spent most of his life in Bridgewater, NJ before settling to Bound Brook in February 1997.

Ray faithfully served his country with the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. He was past member of the American Legion. As a roofing and siding mechanic, in 1982 Ray formed and was the owner of RASS in Bridgewater. He could fix anything and took great pride in helping others. As an auto mechanic, he would go out of his way to help family and friends in need if their cars broke down. Ray enjoyed teaching others how to fix and rebuild cars. He played crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles; and liked to play guitar, listen to Country Westerns and Oldies, and in his younger years he would even sew clothing for his children.

Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by two brothers, George Creveling and Norman Creveling.

Ray is survived by his devoted wife of fifty years, Patricia (nee Steele) Creveling, with whom he joined hands in marriage on June 7, 1969. He will be deeply missed by five loving children, Judy Creveling of St. Cloud, FL, Joyce Easthope and her husband James of Middlesex, NJ, Michelle Creveling of Bound Brook, Christopher Steele and his wife Hope of Meshoppen, PA., and Raymond Creveling and his wife Diane of Marietta, PA; dear siblings, Jeannie Woolsey and Floyd Creveling; four cherished grandchildren, Layla, Logan, Gerik, and Michaela; an adored great granddaughter, Emma; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
