Richard E. Walters, 64, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at home with loving family by his side.  Born in Scranton, PA, son of his late father Richard Walters and his late mother Lillian (nee Garback) Shaffer, Rich resided in Hillsborough and then resided in Manville, NJ for many years before settling for the last twenty-two years back in Hillsborough.

Rich was a graduate of Hillsborough High School.  He was a supervisor for the Borough of Manville Public Works Department for over thirty-two years.  He enjoyed going to New York Jets and New Jersey Nets games with his son, Richard, III.  Rich was an avid gardener, but his greatest joy was watching his grandchildren, Emma and Richie having sleepovers, pizza parties, and tea parties.

He will be deeply missed by his caring and devoted wife, Susan (nee Fischer) Walters; loving son, Richard E. Walters, III, and daughter-in-law, Diane, and his precious grandchildren, Emma and Richie.
