Manville, NJ- Robert Joseph "Bob" Roman, Sr., 61, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Kindred Hospital New Jersey-Rahway in Rahway, NJ with loving family by his side.  Born in New Brunswick, NJ, son of the late Carl and MaryAnn (nee Hart) Roman, Bob grew up and lived in Edison, NJ and after marriage on September 5, 1981 he resided in Manville.

Bob was a machine operator for Republic Services in South Plainfield, NJ for many years.  He was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.  Bob was a true NY Giants and NY Mets fan.  He loved watching WWE Wrestling; and enjoyed classic cars and attending car shows in the area.  When in his presence it wouldn't be odd to hear classic oldies as listening to that genre of music was a favorite pastime of his.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends during different occasions over the years.

Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence "Larry" Roman.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Donna M. (nee Cirella) Roman with whom he joined hand in Holy Matrimony on September 5, 1981.  He will be deeply missed by three loving children, Robert J. Roman, Jr. of Pennsauken, NJ, Cheryl D. Roman of Manville, and Michael J. Roman of Manville; dear brothers, Daniel "Danny" Roman and Carl Roman; dear sister, Mary Ann "Bunny" Battagliotti; dear mother-in-law, Mary Cirella; dear brother-in-law, Anthony Cirella; and his devoted canine friend "Sammy".

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, May 14 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 15 from 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by committal words and interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
