Obituary

Raritan, NJ- Robert J. "Bobby" Petsko, 69, entered into eternal life on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, son of Ruth Petsko Jakimer and the late John Petsko, he lived most of his life in Manville before settling in Raritan in 2007.

Bobby was honorably discharged from the United States Army having faithfully served his country from 1971 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. He worked for over twenty five years at American Cyanamid in Finderne, NJ where he was a foreman. He then was employed as a machine operator with Agfa in Branchburg, NJ. He was a member of VFW Post #2290 in Manville.  Bobby loved to give back to the community and volunteered often for local churches. He was a parishioner at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.

Besides his father, Bobby was predeceased by two siblings, Lorraine Smith and John Petsko.

Besides his mother, Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia R. (Weigel) Petsko; five dear sisters, Ruth Ann and her husband Jim McAlinden, Carol Petsko, Katie and her husband Ray Pobuta, Lois Lukashonak, and Judy Petsko. He will be deeply missed by four cherished stepchildren, Christopher (Melissa) Rudzik, Pamela Garofalo (Geoff), Daniel (Rebecca) Garofalo, and Stephanie Gaber; Justin Gaber, whom he loved like a grandson; and two adored granddaughters, Eliana and Ruby; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, July 25 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 26 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 26 beginning 8:30 at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Christ the King Roman Catholic Church) in Manville. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
