Manville, NJ – Robert Leon "Bob" Mundt entered into eternal life on November 18, 2022.  Born on November 17, 1938 in St Paul, MN to Leon Albert and Rose (Doveronski) Mundt, Bob was resided in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Long Beach, NJ, Linden and then settling in Manville.

As a child he grew up and worked on the family farm and then graduated Glenwood City High School, Class of 1956.  He served in the US Army in the Military Police from 1958 – 1961 in Germany.  He then pursued and dedicated his career as a carpenter and retired as a Local Union 715 Member.  In June 2013, he was honored having completed 50 years of continuous membership (59 years total) and granted honorary membership in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.  Also, a member of VFW Post #2290 in Manville, NJ (30+ years); F.O. Eagles 2137 in Bridgewater, NJ (12 years) and The American Legion Post #12 in Somerville, NJ (10 years).  He also worked for 3M Corporation in Belle mead, NJ for several years after retiring.

He was a past communicant of Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough.  Bob enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting deer, playing the accordion, word search puzzles and especially listening to Polka music.  A fan of Western movies (avid fan of John Wayne movies) and Country music.  He also loved MLB baseball, college and NFL football (The Cheese Heads).

Beside his parents, Bob is also predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Sutton) Mundt on February 11, 2007, and a sister, Sylvia Brandt.

He leaves behind his children; sons, Robert T. Mundt (and wife Donna), Patrick C. Mundt and Timothy Mundt.  He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by a brother Leon Mundt (and wife Vivian) of Rice Lake, WI; A brother-in-law Skip Hower of Upstate NY.  His best friend Bill Slater of Pennsylvania which he spoke to daily sharing day to day events and laughter.  They were each other's daily welfare "check in" for multiple years.

And lastly, he leaves behind in memory his "daughter"-in-law Tina Lo Presti who he cherished.  He was cared for by her for many years and loved deeply, and she will miss him greatly.
