Somerset, NJ- Rose Marie (Strada) Cavagnaro, 90, entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center at Bridgewater in Bridgewater, NJ. Born in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Basso) Strada, she had lived in Fairlawn, NJ before residing in Somerset in 1967 and then resided in Zephyrhills, FL before returning to Somerset.
Rose Marie was the salutatorian of her graduating class at New Paltz High School in New Paltz, NY. She retired after many years of dedicated employment at Motors Insurance Corporation in Somerset as an accounting manager. Rose Marie was a great cook and seamstress, sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in South Bound Brook, NJ and was a member of the South Bound Brook Senior Citizens Club.
Besides her parents, Rose Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Victor Cavagnaro, on May 30, 2009; and twin grandsons, Philip and Christian in 1991.
Rose Marie is survived by three loving children, Thomas Cavagnaro and his wife Elaine (Kresefski) of Bound Brook, Victor Cavagnaro, Jr. of Somerset, and Philip Cavagnaro and his wife Teresa of Neshanic Station, NJ. She will be deeply missed by three cherished grandchildren, Anthony Cavagnaro, Amy Cavagnaro, and Renee Kresefski; and an adored great granddaughter, Tabitha Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, March 8 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 9 from 10-11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Thomas Serafin officiating. Committal words and interment will follow at Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
