Hillsborough, NJ- Rosemarie (Elersic) Solga, 85, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ. Born in Manville, NJ, daughter of the late Matthew and Rose (Bombach) Elersic, she lived in Manville before settling in Hillsborough to a home she and her husband built in 1958.
Rosemarie worked at RCA in Bridgewater, NJ as a technician. She enjoyed cooking and loved to share her recipes with family. She was an aficionado of the arts, particularly ceramics and painting; she would hold ceramic and painting classes in the basement of her home. She also loved traveling with her husband. Rosemarie was a member of the Princeton B.P.O.E #2129 Ladies Auxiliary and was a communicant of Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough.
Besides her parents, Rosemarie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jerome Solga on February 13, 2009; sister, Anna Constance (Elersic) Cullins and brother-in-law, Carl Cullins.
Rosemarie is survived by her loving niece and nephews, Bart Cullins, Sr., Sherry Marchie, George Farley, Jr., Christopher Curtis, Shawn Curtis and Kevin Curtis; and dear great nephew, Bart Cullins, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, April 6 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, April 7 from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7 beginning 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
