Manville, NJ – Ryan "Moose" Eckert, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson-Somerset in Somerville. Born in Somerville, Ryan has been a lifelong resident of the borough and was a 1994 graduate of Manville High School.
Ryan was presently employed as a dispatcher with Taylor Oil in Somerville where he worked for the past 15 years. He was an avid fisherman, a lover of music and fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys.
He is predeceased by his father John Eckert who died in 2001, sister Melissa Ann "Missy" Eckert on March 9, 2013, maternal grandfather Al Lazowski, paternal grandparents Doris and John Eckert, ciocie Debbie Eckert and uncles Bob Newcombe and Mark Lazowski.
Ryan is survived by his loving mother Linda (Lazowski) Eckert and dear brother Marc Eckert, both of Manville. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother Anne Lazowski of Scranton, PA, his ciocie's and uncles: Nancy Newcombe of South Bound Brook, Marlene and Dale Hoffman of Shamokin, PA, Phil and Liz Lazowski of East Stroudsburg, PA, Annemarie and John Latsko of Manville, Billy Eckert of Pennsylvania, Jay Eckert of Hawaii and Scott and Kathi Eckert of California.
Ryan will be missed by several cousins, dear friends and by his best friend, his late sister's dog Doogan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, October 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 11 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11 beginning 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Office of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church on Brooks Boulevard in Hillsborough. Ryan will be laid to rest at Bound Brook Cemetery located in Bound Brook.
