Manville, NJ – Sharon Ann (nee Lyman) Connors, 79, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024 at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Taylor, PA, daughter of the late Charles and Esther (nee O'Brien) Lyman, she grew up in Pittston, PA, moved to New Jersey 66 years ago, first residing in Iselin, NJ, then Plainfield, NJ, before settling in Manville in 1970.

Sharon was a graduate of St. John's High School with the Class of 1962 and then earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Misericordia University in Dallas, PA. She was an intake agent with the Somerset County Board of Social Services, prior to retirement. Previously, She had worked with the New Jersey Employment Services. Sharon was a faithful parishioner at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Most importantly, Sharon never missed spending quality time with her cherished grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Sharon was predeceased by two brothers, Alan Lyman and Tommy Lyman.

Sharon leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, George G. Connors, Sr.; four loving children, George Connors and his spouse Lisa of Metuchen, NJ, Charlie Connors and his spouse Darlene of Green Brook, NJ, Mary Elizabeth Blackwell of Frenchtown, NJ, and Billy Connors and his spouse Jodi of Basking Ridge, NJ; two dear brothers, Charles "Neil" Lyman and Joseph Lyman. Sharon will be dearly missed by eleven cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Shannon, Shane, Aly, Georgia, Billy, Charlotte, Jessie, Sophie, Cassie, and Kate.

Relative and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, August 20, from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 21, from 8-8:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 21, at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral mass at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Manville. Committal words and entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway, NJ.
