Obituary

Somerset, NJ- Stanley Z. Holewski, 89, entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough. Born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn to the late Peter and "Lillian" Leokadijja (Bremsske) Holewski, Stanley raised his family in Staten Island before settling to NJ in 1987.


Stanley proudly served our country during WW II in the United States Army as a Rifleman. He obtained the rank of Tech-4, earning the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge, among others.

Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife Sophie (Kolacki) Holewski, and his siblings John, Helen, Kay, and Edward.


Stanley leaves behind his devoted children; Linda Imperato and husband David of Somerset and Jeffery Holewski and wife Theresa of Flemington and his brother Chester. He will also be deeply missed by his loving grandchildren; Tricia and Steven Imperato, Danielle, Christopher and Jill Holewski and great-granddaughter Sophia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Wednesday, October 30th , from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 31st from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m.


Funeral services will begin on Thursday, October 31st , beginning 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in the East Millstone section of Hillsborough Township, NJ. Committal words and interment will follow at The Cemetery of the Resurrection in Staten Island, NY.
