Manville, NJ-Susan (nee Bartus) Gittleman, 85, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 9, 2024 at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hillsborough, NJ. Born in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Frank and Emma (nee Hodel) Bartus, she spent most of her life in Manville. Shortly after retirement, Susan and her husband moved to Boynton Beach, FL from 1997-2009 and then settled back to Manville.

Susan was the owner and CEO of Abe's On Time Limousine in Manville for twelve years, before retirement. She enjoyed interior decorating and had a very good eye for it. She also loved cooking and baking for family. Susan enjoyed time spent with family and she always had strong faith in God.

Besides her parents, Susan was predeceased by her son, Raymond H. Vega (d.2020); and her five siblings, Frank Bartus, Timothy Bartus, Robert Bartus, Julia Vakerich, and Dorothy Zebrowski.

Susan is survived and will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 62 years, Abraham Gittleman with whom she joined hands in marriage on January 25, 1962; two loving children, Lisa Gittleman of Manville and Abraham Gittleman of Manville; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was the mother of three and mom to everybody else.
