Manville, NJ- Susanna "Suzie" (Hutzl) Slepokura, 86, entered into eternal life on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in the former Yugoslavia, she was abducted as a young teenager by the Nazi Germans and forced to work in a labor camp in Germany. It was there that she met her husband Michael. She emigrated to the United States with her husband and son in October of 1951. Suzie was a resident of Manville most of her life.

Suzie was a very talented seamstress and had worked most of her life at various sewing factories in Central New Jersey and also worked at Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead. Suzie was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville and was a member of the Polish Falcon Camp in Hillsborough. She enjoyed spending time, sewing and cooking for friends and family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.



Besides her parents, Suzie was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Slepokura on August 5, 1995 and by her brother-in-law Jan Slepokura.



Suzie is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law John and Linda Slepokura of Skillman. She will be deeply missed by two cherished grandchildren, Brett and his wife Lisa of Hoboken and Scott and his wife Katy of Belle Mead; and by four adored great grandchildren, Berkeley, Blake, Tyler and Emily.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, August 12 from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday, August 13 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Suzie will be entombed beside her beloved husband at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum in Piscataway.
