Sylvia Vaccarella, age 94, of Manville, NJ died on Monday, December 20 ^th at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Somerville, N.J. Sylvia was born, raised and lived all her life in Manville.

Sylvia worked for Chanel in Piscataway, NJ for more than thirty years before retiring in her mid-sixties. In her retirement she enjoyed crocheting, reading the newspaper with a very hot cup of coffee, playing video poker and watching the gameshow network. Sylvia was a caregiver who loved to do for others, especially her family. Her meatballs were the most delicious because they were made with love. Though quiet, Sylvia was fierce. She mowed her lawn well into her eighties and only stopped driving earlier this year.

Sylvia was predeceased by her loving husband, Leonard Vaccarella, by 24 years to the day. She is also predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Josephine Guerrazzi as well as her brother Dominic Guerrazzi.

Surviving Sylvia are her children, Marie Vaccarella of Manville, NJ, Leonard Vaccarella of Montgomery, NJ and his wife Rosemary Vaccarella. She is also survived by her sisters, Jennie Vaccarella and Mary Shubiak, sister-in law Margaret Guerrazzi and her grandchildren: Melissa Vaccarella, James (Stacey) Vaccarella, Craig (Lauren) Vaccarella and Amanda (Sean) Kennedy, and her three great-grandchildren: Collin, Olivia, and Benjamin Vaccarella. Sylvia is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins on the Guerrazzi, Infante, Shubiak and Vaccarella sides of the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Wednesday, December 22 from3-7 p.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835, and on Thursday, December 23,2021, from 8-8:30 a.m.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 23 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.  Committal words and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
