Manville, NJ- Theresa Rita (Puppo) Babich, 84, entered eternal life on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Hillsborough. Born in Freeland, PA, daughter of the late Nick and Mary (Maglioli) Puppo, she grew up in Middlesex before moving to Manville in 1956.
Theresa worked in the aerosol line at as an assembler for Lehn and Fink Product Company for over twenty five years. She loved playing cards, especially solitaire. She was an avid bowler and was a member at the Manville Lanes. She was gifted in crochet and knitting. Most of all, Theresa adored spending time with her grandchildren. She was a communicant of Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Babich, Jr. in 1992, son, George Babich III, in 1997 and dear sisters, Mary Stanziola and Ann Ottaviano and brothers, Joe, Louie, Pat and Tony Puppo.
Theresa is survived by two cherished sons, Gregory and wife Mary "Sia" (Corey) Babich of Manville and son Scott Babich and wife Paulette of Colorado. She will be deeply missed by her dear brothers John Puppo of Florida and Nicholas Puppo of Colorado; seven adored grandchildren, Greg Babich, Jr., Jessica England and husband Justin, Mariam Henfling and husband Roger, David Corey, Justin Babich and wife Mara, Bret Babich and Jake Babich.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835, on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, August 26, from 8-8:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26 beginning 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the Redeemer Parish (Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church) in Manville. Committal words and disposition will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ.
