Obituary

Hillsborough, NJ- Vincent "Vinnie" J. Zujkowski, 86, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his home in Hillsborough. Born in Manville, son of the late John and Stella (Slimko) Zujkowski, he settled to Hillsborough in 1961.



Vinnie was a graduate of Sacred Heart School Class of 1941, Bound Brook High School Class of 1945, Kansas State Teachers College at Emporia Class of 1952 earning his Bachelor's of Science in Education, and Rutgers University Class of 1954 earning his Master's of Education. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Vinnie faithfully served his country with the United States Navy during World War II. He retired in 1987 having been a dedicated teacher of mathematics with the Manville School System. While teaching, he also coached football, baseball, and golf. He had a passion for sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants. He loved to play golf and tend to his garden, sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

Besides his parents, Vinnie was predeceased by a sister, Lucille Washelofski and two young siblings, John, Jr. and Clara.



Vinnie leaves behind his beloved wife, Margaret (Bukovecky) Zujkowski, with whom he joined hands in marriage on July 31, 1954; four loving children, Kathleen and Theodore Skouras of North Wildwood and their three children, Lindsey Skouras and her husband Brendan Dahl, Matthew Skouras, and Andrea Skouras; Mark Zujkowski and his fiancée Karen Beaulieu of Flemington, Thomas and Cathy Zujkowski of Tewksbury and their stepdaughter, Barbara and her husband James Jordan, and their children Julia and Grace Jordan; and John and Carol Ann Zujkowski of Readington Township, and children Joseph Zujkowski, Jennifer Zujkowski and Kristin Zujkowski. He will be deeply missed by two dear brothers and a sister, Edward and his wife Felice Zujkowski, Marvin Zujkowski, and Phyllis Diggers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Sunday, October 6 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, October 7 from 8-8:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Vinnie will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough. Memorial contributions may be made in Vinnie's name to the Hillsborough Senior Citizens Club Group B, 385 Amwell Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
