Bridgewater, NJ – William R. Hipkins, 78, entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital with his loving wife by his side.  Born in Drexel Hill, Pa, son of the late Robert and Helen (Bortell) Hipkins, he was raised in Philadelphia, PA and had resided in Manville, NJ before settling to Bridgewater in 2013.

William faithfully served his country with the United States Army and the United States Navy and had taken part in Operation Deep Freeze.  He was owner and operator of Hipkins Lawn and Cleaning Services in Manville for many years.  He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Besides his parents, Willman was predeceased by three brothers, Butch Hipkins, Bobby Hipkins, and George Hipkins.

William is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Irene (Jacob) Hipkins; loving daughter, Diane Nastri; three dear sisters, Linda Divart, Edna Ebright and Helen "Lovie" Smith; two dear brothers, John Hipkins and Paul Hipkins; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2-4 p.m.  Rev. Davis will celebrate a religious service at 3:30 p.m. and military honors will follow at 3:45 p.m.
