Obituary

Bridgewater, NJ-Wladyslaw Szostek, 88, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Poland, son of the late Ludwik and Maria (Skoczylas) Szostek, he came to the United Sates in 1965 and resided in Newark and Irvington prior to settling to Bridgewater in 1992.

Wladyslaw retired from the Township of Maplewood as a township worker. He was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Irvington.

Besides his parents, Wladyslaw was predeceased by his beloved wife Genowefa (Grzebyk) Szostek in 1986 and his brother Stanley.


Wladyslaw leaves behind his devoted children Stella and Mike of Oakley, CA, Emil and Elizabeth of Flemington, NJ, Andrew "Zbigniew" of Oakley, CA, Grace and Scott of Bridgewater, NJ, and John and Marisa of North Wales, PA. He will be deeply missed by his five cherished grandchildren Joseph, Robert, Jessica, Kristina and Angelina, and one adored great grandchild Ethan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Friday, March 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 5 from 11-11:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5 beginning 11:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Wladyslaw will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in Wladyslaw's memory to COPD Foundation, 2937 Southwest 27th Ave, Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133.
