Somerset, NJ-Wladyslaw "Walter" Wielgosz, 89, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick with family at his side. Born in Malusemale, Poland, son of the late Stefan and Anastasia (Kubek) Wielgosz, Walter immigrated to the United States in 1950 prior to settling in Somerset in 1958.

Walter served in the British Army after World War II. He retired from GAF Corporation as a machine tender in 1983. He was a faithful communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Bound Brook. His passion was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Walter took a very special interest in his grandchildrens' lives and did whatever it took to provide for his family, including working over 100 hours a week. Walter was an inspiration to many as he always put others before himself and he will be sorely missed.



Walter leaves behind his beloved wife of sixty-five years Jadwieja "Jean" ((Moraczynska) Wielgosz with whom he joined hands in marriage with on December 25, 1945; loving children, daughter Anna and her husband Nazzareno D'Angelo of Oakland, IA and son Walter and his wife Marilyn Wielgosz of Somerset. He will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren, Michael and Adriana D'Angelo, Maryann D'Angelo, John Paul and his wife Emily D'Angelo, Christopher Wielgosz and his fiancée Jenniffer Rios, and Adam and his wife Heather Wielgosz; five adored great grandchildren, Brillianna, Alexander, Michael Mario, Dominic and Evelyn D'Angelo and by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Tuesday, June 21 from 6-9 p.m.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa, 201 Vosseller Ave, Bound Brook, NJ 08805. Committal words will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
